Want some Strawberry Parlour ?

Sorry for being lazy for the past 2 weeks.  Yes, I have a pile of new stuffs came in and Yes, I seriously need to update more frequently......

Recently, I'm crazy about BtSSB's dress. I don't know why, but their recent design just amazing and stole my heart. I can't resist and wanting to own every piece of them. However, I'm glad that I'm in Singapore now. Otherwise soon you can see me sleeping on the street with a pile of my lolita collection.

As a royal fan of Angelic Pretty and sweet lolita. I still love Angelic Pretty product even though AP didn't have any impressive piece recently. What I love about their product are the structure and the detail they put into the dress.

Compares to Angelic Pretty, Baby doesn't have this wow effects such as surprising pockets and original lace. You can see the lace they use on BtSSB are very similar. They don't particular have any special lace made to match with the print of the dress.

Today, I'd like to write a review about my "recently? "shopping of Angelic Pretty " Strawberry Parlour " OP.

Honestly speaking, sweet strawberry parfait and ice creams are nothing new in AP. However, I love this design very much. For me, strawberry parfait is the perfect symbol of sweet lolita. To wear as a sweet lolita, strawberry and pink is something you should put it into your wardrobe.

OK, I have to confess.......

Even though I've been a sweet lolita for quite a long time, but.......

"I NEVER OWN A PINK STRAWBERRY PARFAIT DRESS !!!!!"

Yes, that's right, can't believe it isn't it.

Actually if you look carefully, You can see that actually every parfait and ice cream are actually different.

This is the surprise that I love about AP.

The lace

Look at these lace. Special original lace with strawberry and ribbon on it, on top of it you can see A P mark on it. This is something you can't find in BtSSB.

Here raise up a question. "When will I wear them??" 

Well..... I have to be honest with you. I gained weight and I highly doubt that my bust can fit into these OP at moment.

So I guess I need to go back to my low carb diet again and lose few pounds first before I can actually wear them again.

A breeze afternoon with classic lolita outfit- "Fragrant Rose Memories"

Hi everyone
Today I was in a mood of classic lolita.
Usually I am more into sweet style but some of my friends suggested me that I look nice in classic so I decided to give it a try.
I don't really own much classic style but there is a JSK I really love ,  BtSSB  "Fragrant Rose Memories" and I decided to give it a shot.
I have to say recently Baby did a really good job. I actually ordered almost every print it published from beginning of this year.
I used to like Angelic Pretty a lot but I have to say I'm quite disappointed with their design recently. It seems to me they are repeating using the same theme and re-release the old popular prints.
Even a royal fan like me, I have to say I will vote for BtSSB this time.

I usually don't take a side view photo but this skirt is so beautiful and I love the lace around the edge of the skirt so I want to show everyone what it looks like from the side view.

Usually I will wear wig or put on the "Full"make up when I wear sweet lolita. However when it comes to classic. I think simple is the best. Since the style and prints are not as loud as Sweet so you don't want your hair style and make up steal the thunder of your beautiful outfit.

Since I'm all dressed up, my daughter suggested us to go for an afternoon tea which I totally love.
So four of us came to this love cafe called "Arteastiq".
Some of my readers might realized this name. Yes. It is the cafe we used for our first lolita tea party this year. Due to some disarrangement we were not able to sit near the window last time. However this time. I make sure I arrived early and insisted to have a seat near the window.

 I love this view. Even though it is in the middle of the busy shopping district. You can still enjoy a beautiful breeze afternoon like this. That's why I love this cafe.

My daughter is wearing a casual lolita. She wears her favorite Putumayo. I love Putumayo too. Sometimes I wore them when my daughter is not around , Hahaha!!

 I ordered a 3-tiers set and I love the crab wrap !! It is unbelievable tasty!!

 Their signature iced tea!!! With the home-made ice cream on top. How can you resist?
Also I love they give you a cup of separated  iced tea without ice-cream so you can have a taste of the tea.
How lovely.

This is the most beautiful hot chocolate I even have in my life. I love the way you have to melt the real chocolate block into hot milk. Also the cookie that comes with the hot chocolate is just perfect match!

They just like out of the world.

Meet up with Lolita Mom to be in Singapore

Today, We had a meet up with the local lolita. First we were planning a casual meet up with some of my close friends. However, it ends up there are 18 people came to join us for lunch, which was a pleasant surprise.
What surprise me more is there are two mother to be lolita joined us and they are totally adorable in their beautiful outfit.
Today. I was wondering which outfit for wear. First I thought about wearing my  BtSSB  " Pas de Deux in the blue moon" Odile JSK but I though I should leave this sweet cute dress to my daughter  .
 I'm going to try a different outfit this time. something I never tried before.

So, I decided to wear my Angelic Pretty "Fancy Box"JSK set for today!!
Yes, another set that is long forgotten.
I brought this whole when I went back to Japan last month.
I wasn't interested in this print when I first saw it on the web. However, when I visited Angelic Pretty store, I saw this print and totally fell in love with it.
I always wanted to try "Bitter Sweet" style and this is what I'm looking for.

 For my hair and make up today, I putted on a sweet make up with light pink lipstick. For my hair, I decided that I'm going to wear only one side of my ponytail because I want to make it to match with my bitter sweet style.
If I put on the twin ponytails. The whole outfit will be too sweet. Consider the whole balance of the outfit, I only wear one side but place it on the higher parts of my hair

One of the reason I'm coming to the meet up because I wanted to take photo with them. I want to show everyone that even you are pregnant, you can still look great in them!!

This is our group photo of this meet up, Although some of them had to leave early and weren't in the photo. They are also beautiful lolitas.

I started this blog because I wanted to show people that age doesn't matter when you wear lolita. When I meet with my Singaporean Lolita friends they are such an inspiration  to me. The average age are quite old. I would say 28~30. Most of us are working and youngest we have is 21 years old. 

What are our job? Sales person, teachers, Bankers, accountant, any job!!

We won't stop wearing something we really love because of our age and job.

Review of BtSSB " Pas de Deux in the blue moon" Odile JSK

Today I'd like to write a review about BtSSB  " Pas de Deux in the blue moon" Odile JSK. I brought this JSK quite a while ago but I totally forgot about the existence of it.
 (Yes, as usually, buried under the pile of my dress and waiting to see the sunlight one day.)
I actually don't really see many review about it, neither heard about anyone who actually owns it or even seen the photo of wearing it. So I thought maybe I should write a review about it since it is such a lovely piece. It would be a waste if it was left to be unknown.
When I first saw the design of  " Pas de Deux in the blue moon", I wasn't really excited about it. because it didn't have a very stand out print or design but rather plain. However, the print grows day by day in me, when I saw the pink and ivory version. I knew I have to get it.
So, I end up getting the whole set!!!!  <-- Crazy me, I know.

The JSK, Headbow and socks all from BtSSB

Recently, I'd like to get a whole set when I buy the dress. Because I had problem finding the matching headdress when I brought some of my JSK before. Then I have to spend time and money try to find the matching head-bow, so from now on, I usually order the set whenever I order from the brand site.

" Pas de Deux in the blue moon" Odile JSK is the slim fit design like most of AatP JSK, Although on the official page, the size seems to be bigger, ( Bust: 86~96cm. Waist: 69~82cm) . I have to say it is actually smaller than it claim.

My bust is 94cm~95cm and my waist is 72~74cm. However I find it fits tightly around my waist and I had a big problem to zip up around my bust. Maybe it was few days before my period due when I tried it on so I was swollen. Even so I would say it is actually quite tight for big frame.

Even though the size is the problem, I really love the material. It is cotton and very light. I can tell it is very suitable for the spring-summer weather. Nothing heavy here and material is very soft to touch.

The lace is very simple but neat. I like the cotton lace they use for this dress.

 The edge is very simple yet elegant. I felt like a ballenia when I wear this JSK.

The detail of the prints

 I really love the print. if you see carefully , you can see the prints are all different. It tells a whole story of swan lake. which is the most famous play for ballet.

Match headbow

I got the match head-bow because I think it would be difficult to find it later. The colour is very soft and sweet I believe I can use this head-bow with my other JSK.

Matching Socks

I don't usually buy the matching socks but this time, I just have to get it, because the socks just looks so sweet. I love the use of ballet shoes and golden crown. I think I would regret if I miss it.

Now I'm on the new diet called "Tomato Diet", I will definitely wear this JSK once I lose enough fat to fit into them.LOL

Elegant and classic coordination with non print dresses

Recently I had a conversation with some Lolita friends and we talked about the popularity of the original prints and how non print dresses are less popular. One mentioned about recent AP prints are getting quite boring and every prints looks similar. Even though the design is great the Innocent world products usually can't sell for a good price due to the less fancy print design. Also for the popular brand such as BtSSB and AP . Sometime it is hard to sell for barely over $100 for a nice piece great condition dress.

Even though I am truly loving Lolita fashion . I have to admit that I do favor the original prints more. After the conversation I realize I forgot what was my first love when I first saw Lolita . I fell in love because of the beautiful frills, laces, and puffy skirt. It wasn't the prints that attracted me. When did I become one of the slaves of the original print?
So I decided to do three coordination of non- print dress that non- print dress can also look as good as original print dress.
The first dress I am going to try on is this BtSSB "Mille-Feuille JSK"
It is one of the few non print JSK that I really love.
Interesting thing is, it doesn't look so nice by itself however, when you put it on. It shines!

This beautiful JSK actually brings out a very nice classic atmosphere. Coordinate with the same ivory colour items and a pink flower headdress gives a elegant, classic yet sweet feeling.

The next items I want to try is a plain black JSK that I believe most of us have one like this when we first started lolita.

I brought it from a shop in rakuten ichiba Japan called "And Romeo" I had it for long time didn't sell it until now because I love the chiffon material on the skirt.

The tip of coordinate of a plain black JSK is you can totally have very fancy cardigan or items and still you won't look too busy or too much.

One good thing about non-print dress is you can coordinate with fancy item. Also it won't steal the thunder of the main item.

For example you have this beautiful cardigan or handbag or lace wrist you'd like to show. You can always coordinate with an non-print dress and it will bring out the colour of each items.

The last dress is actually the first dress my husband gave me for my birthday. This dress has a huge meaning to me because it means my husband started to accept me and my style.

Although it has the flower prints but I would put in under non-prints because it is not the original print. However it is one of my favorite dress and I love the design because it is so "Princess like".

I was wondering whether I should wear a socks with this coordinate, however I want to create a summer breeze so I though it would look better without socks.

I'm glad that I have these beautiful dresses and they are just as nice as AP's sugary carnival.

My lolita Trip with Vietnamese lolita

Last week. I had chance to visit Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam with my family.
When we heard about Vietnam, we might come up an image of war, communist, undeveloped, hot and humid.
Actually Hot and Humid is correct but rest of them... You will be surprise that Vietnam is actually a beautiful place to visit and people there are friendly and bright.
This time when I visit Vietnam and I thought, maybe there is a chance there are some lolita living in Vietnam. So I made a post on EGL searching for lolita in Vietnam.

AND I GOT A REPLY!!!!


I can't believe it. So we decided to have a meet up in Vietnam. She is actually living in Hanoi. Another city two hours flight from north of Ho chi Minh (Saigon). However she is so kind that she decided to fly down to Saigon to meet us.

We stay in a lovely hotel called Hotel Nikko Saigon. The hotel is very new and the service is superiors!!!

Me and my daughter decided to wear Milky planet by Oojia. Because the weather in Vietnam is very hot , humid and rain occasionally . Although we got used to the hot weather in Singapore but Saigon has less under-roof shopping centre with air-conditioning. So we didn't really want to ruin our AP JSK with sweat.
Plus we just got our Oojia Mily planet which are beautiful so we decided to bring them to Vietnam for our first meet with Vietnam lolita Erika.

Excuse my barefoot without socks. Due the the weather and all that. We think it is not a good idea to wear socks and in the hot weather in Japan. Some lolita do wear nice lolita sandal with out socks if not attending the tea party so we thought we will just pass the socks part.

 Erika took us to this lovely restaurant which serve both traditional Vietnamese and French cuisine . The place is beautiful and the food is fantastic!!
There is another photo of the restaurant. You can see the beautiful red colour they use signify Saigon with French shabby chic furniture. Perfect!

My son fall into asleep due to the early flight. 6:30am

Our flight was very early we arrive at Saigon around 8:30 so my son couldn't resist and fall into asleep on his plate.LOL

 Later Erika took us to downtown of Ho Chi Minh and you can still there are lots of beautiful buildings left from the French colony period.

Now we all know how important to bring parasol with us. 

The sun is very strong and I realized this might be the first time I use my parasol for the right purpose not for fashion reason. LOL.
It was such a fantastic trip and I'm so glad that I can meet Erika. She is such a lovely, sweet girl I wish I can meet her again.
